Go Start>Control Panel>select Switch to Classic view
then
Open up your “Network Connectionsâ€. Right click on your internet connection or LAN connection and select “Propertiesâ€.
->Select the “Advance†tab
If the “Internet Connection Firewall†is ticked then this might be the reason for slow downloads. Also it might be the reason for the status light to stay yellow, even though you have allowed your current firewall to allow your client to access the internet. Try it out and tell me if that was the problem, beacuse it was mine.
